I am still taking photos and trying to improve my photography skills but have not been keeping up with the prompts of the 365 Day Challenge since they changed it to taking photos that correspond to the letters of the alphabet. This is a good idea to get your brain into gear and use your imagination, but my brain and imagination have been lacking lately and I have been having trouble finding worthwhile things to photograph that do correspond with these letters every day, but in saying that I have taken some lovely photos of other things. Here are two photos of a splendid sunrise taken earlier this week. I am also using recent photos in my scrap pages. In the Slip Slop Slap page, below was a recent photo taken at North beach in Woolongong which I altered in photoshop by deleting the sky background also the beach flag embellishment was another photo which I cropped and extracted the flag to make the embellishment to go with my page. I suppose you could say that I am still doing letters of the alphabet, I have covered the letter B for Beach flag and Body in my Slip Slop Slap page and the letter S with my Splendid Sunrise, but just not in the order from A-Z. Hopefully as I go along snapping photos I will also cover the letters that I have missed.

My latest scrap page. Photo was taken at Woolongong as well as a photo of the beach flag which I have made into an embellishment for the page, the sun embell was made using one of my custom shapes and playing around with it until it suited the page.

I am important. My job is to choose what kind of day I am going to have.
Today I can complain because the weather is rainy or…
I can be thankful that the grass is getting watered for free.
Today I can feel sad that I don’t have more money or…
I can be glad that my finances encourage me to plan my purchases
wisely and guide me away from waste.
Today I can grumble about my health or…
I can rejoice that I am alive.
Today I can lament over all that my parents didn’t give me when I was growing up or…
I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.
Today I can cry because roses have thorns or…
I can celebrate that thorns have roses.
Today I can mourn my lack of friends or…
I can excitedly embark upon a quest to discover new relationships.
Today I can whine because I have to go to work or…
I can shout for joy because I have a job to do.
Today I can complain because I have to go to school or…
I can eagerly open my mind and fill it with rich new tidbits of knowledge.
Today I can murmur dejectedly because I have to do housework or…
I can feel honored because the Lord has provided shelter for my
mind, body, and soul.
Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped.
And here I am, the sculptor who gets to do the shaping.
What today will be like is up to me.
I get to choose what kind of day I will have!

Day #39: Photos of Action shots taken at a recent BBQ of a friend entertaining us with his skills. Little did he or I know when taking these photos that they would be used for this challenge.

I was watching some tutorial videos in DigitalphotoshopConnection in the early hours of this morning and putting what I was learning into action while viewing the videos and this ATC was my final outcome. I am learning how to be able to work faster on my projects by watching these videos and learning quicker techniques on how to use various tools.

What man actually needs is not a tensionless state but rather the striving and struggling for some goal worthy of him. What he needs is not the discharge of tension at any cost, but the call of a potential meaning waiting to be fulfilled by him.

Here are two Scrap pages I have just finished. The first one is of my beautiful Grand Daughter and the second one is of Smoky Cape Lighthouse, one of the places we visited while on holiday in December. The photo of my Grand Daughter was also a photo taken for the 365 Day Challenge which the prompt for this day was: Day 25# Today’s prompt is to take a picture of a child, spouse, pet sleeping. As you can see I am a bit behind with taking photos for these Daily Challenge Prompts, but I have been taking photos just about everyday since the challenge started and have been toting my camera with me most everywhere I go.
