We too often love things and use people, when we should be using things and loving people.
This is one of many well loved sayings of mine, as you may well have figured out by now I love sayings, phrases, and poetry. I hope all your days are filled with people who love you.
I also have a profound love of books and I have added one of the latest books I have read, called Manhood to my Book Reviews page. I highly recommend if you are a woman to read this book for yourself even though it has been written for men, as one woman’s response to the book “I treasure your words and insight. I feel more compassion towards my husband and clearer about my son’s needs”. Then once you have read it pass it on to the men in your life. If they are not readers, then give them your time and read it to them, I assure you it will be time well spent together and you as well as the men in your life will reap rewards. Here are a few responses to the book from men “At last someone has been able to state clearly what is happening inside our hearts.” “I can honestly say your book was the most important I have ever read.” “(Manhood) has given me the first inkling in my life of what it is to be an integrated, self-respecting man.” If you would like to read more about what this book is about click on the Book Review page for more information.

I am really pleased with how this scrap page worked out. I have incorporated a photograph of blossoms and used different %’s of opacities to give it the pink hue throughout the page with two different scrap papers, with brushes and then added the text which I added drop shadows and blends to get the white hue.

He who has a why to live can bear with almost any how
This uniqueness and singleness which distinguishes each individual and gives a meaning to his existence has a bearing on creative work as much as it does on human love. When the impossibility of replacing a person is realised, it allows the reponsibility which a man has for his existence and its continuance to appear in all its magnitude. A man who becomes conscious of the responsibility he bears toward a human being who affectionately waits for him, or to an unfinished work, will never be able to throw away his life. He knows the “why” for his existence, and will be able to bear almost any ”how“

I have added some excerpts from Viktor Frankl’s book ‘Mans Search For Meaning’. If you would like to read these you will find it located in the right hand column under the above heading, under My Galleries.
“perhaps the most significant thinking since Freud and Alder. Unconditional faith in an unconditional meaning is Dr Frankl’s message to the reader”.

Where your pleasure is, there is your treasure:
Where your treasure, there your heart;
Where your heart, there your happiness.

Life isn’t about how to weather the Storm, but about how to dance in the rain
With all the jokes and fun that are in emails, sometimes there is one that comes along that has an important message. This one I added a photo to and I would like to share it with you. I hope you share this with someone you care about…. I just did.
